How Shotocup collects, uses and protects personal information on shotocup.com, at our events and in Shoto Apps.

Shotocup organizes and promotes Karate and Taekwondo competitions in Bermuda, publishes athlete rankings and event photos, and provides free scoring and tournament apps. Shotocup is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. Our office is at 19 Queen Street HM, Mechanics building, Penthouse Suite #3, Bermuda.
We use personal information to run events, place athletes in the right divisions, contact registrants about schedules and changes, publish results and rankings, share event photos, reply to messages, and plan event management work for organizations that hire us. We do not sell personal information and we do not use it for advertising.
Athlete names, placings and points from sanctioned events appear publicly on the Rankings page. Event photos appear publicly in the Shoto Pix gallery and may be used on our social media to promote future events.
If you would like a name corrected or hidden from the rankings, or a photo removed, email [email protected] with the page and a short description. We will act on reasonable requests promptly.
WKF Kumite Scorer, K-Score 6, BJJ Match Scorer and Tournament Director Pro run entirely in your browser and work offline. They have no logins and no ads, and the names and scores you enter are not sent to Shotocup.
Some apps save your current session in your browser’s storage on that device. Tournament Director Pro saves only to event files you download yourself. You can delete this data at any time by clearing your browser’s site data or deleting the files.
The site relies on a small number of outside services, each with its own privacy policy:
We share registration details only with the officials, clubs and partner organizations needed to run an event, or when the law requires it. We keep contact messages and registration records only as long as we need them for the event and our records. Results and rankings are kept as a lasting record of competition history. We protect the information we hold with reasonable safeguards and limit access to the people who need it.
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted where we no longer need it. You can also withdraw consent for photos or marketing at any time. These requests are handled in line with Bermuda’s Personal Information Protection Act 2016. Email [email protected] to make a request.
Many of our athletes are under 18. A parent or guardian must complete registration for a minor and may contact us at any time to review, correct or remove the child’s information, rankings entry or photos.
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
